Jeremia 51:17

SV	Een ieder mens is onvernuftig geworden, zodat hij geen wetenschap heeft; een ieder goudsmid is beschaamd van het gesneden beeld; want zijn gegoten beeld is leugen, en er is geen geest in hen.
WLC	נִבְעַ֤ר כָּל־אָדָם֙ מִדַּ֔עַת הֹבִ֥ישׁ כָּל־צֹרֵ֖ף מִפָּ֑סֶל כִּ֛י שֶׁ֥קֶר נִסְכֹּ֖ו וְלֹא־ר֥וּחַ בָּֽם׃
Trans.	niḇə‘ar kāl-’āḏām mid^a‘aṯ hōḇîš kāl-ṣōrēf mipāsel kî šeqer nisəkwō wəlō’-rûḥa bām:

AC	יז נבער כל אדם מדעת הביש כל צרף מפסל כי שקר נסכו ולא רוח בם
ASV	Every man is become brutish [and is] without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
BE	Then every man becomes like a beast without knowledge; every gold-worker is put to shame by the image he has made: for his metal image is deceit, and there is no breath in them.
Darby	Every man is become brutish, so as to have no knowledge; every founder is put to shame by the graven image, for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

Sch	Alle Menschen werden zu Narren trotz ihrer Wissenschaft, und ob den Bildern werden alle Gießer zuschanden; denn was sie gießen, ist Betrug, und kein Geist ist darin!
